National Industry Vision and Values to drive sustainability

Tuesday 7 July 2015

On 18 June, the GA Board approved a new national industry vision and values. All controlling bodies have signed up to both.

The vision, unashamedly and necessarily, puts animal welfare at the centre of everything we do. The industry has prioritised the eradication of unnecessary euthanasia and we will engender community trust by doing what we say we’ll do.

We value animal welfare first, being held accountable, honesty, transparency and striving to achieve excellence in everything we do.

This vision and these values will now drive all GA and member decisions.

Vision
That GA and its members always:

  • Put animal welfare at the centre of everything we do
  • Work together to eradicate unnecessary euthanasia of greyhounds as a national priority
  • Act in a manner that engenders community trust

Values

  • Animal welfare first
  • Accountability
  • Honesty
  • Transparency
  • Excellence
