The Greyhounds Australasia Animal Welfare and Care Sub Committee is sanctioned by Greyhounds Australasia (GA) to collaboratively exchange information to encourage consistent national application of agreed greyhound welfare targets and strategy including:

• Welfare Risk Mitigation and Management.
• Lifecycle tracking protocols adoptions and associated welfare management related matters.

The Sub Committee is also responsible for overseeing and recommending best practice control in respect of greyhound welfare, as well as setting, reviewing, and recommending national policies to improve the welfare of greyhounds and overseeing the implementation of compliance levers regarding welfare related matters.

The Sub Committee will also undertake other welfare related matters as deemed appropriate and delegated to them by the GA Board.
