Simon Stout appointed CEO of Greyhounds Australasia

The Greyhounds Australasia Board is pleased to announce the appointment Mr Simon Stout as the new Chief Executive Officer of GA.

Simon is currently Racing Queensland’s Industry Policy Manager and previously performed the role of RQ’s General Manager of Racing, overseeing greyhounds, thoroughbreds and harness racing. He also served as Interim CEO for three months in 2018.  Prior to working for Racing Queensland Simon was the Thoroughbred Racing Manager for Tasracing.

Simon commences in the CEO Role on 1 December 2022.

Greyhounds Australasia welcomes new Board Members

The Chair of Greyhounds Australasia has announced 3 new Board Members of GA.

Jean Fahey replaces Sean Hannan from New Zealand, David Simonette replaces Charlotte Mills from Western Australia and Robert Macaulay replaces Tony Mestrov from New South Wales.

All three new Board Members has extensive experience across different levels of the Greyhound industry.

A special thank you to Sean, Charlotte and Tony for the enormous contribution each have made to the Board and to the industry during their tenure.
