Greyhounds Australasia (GA) thanks the Independent Inquiry into the Governance of the Greyhound Racing Industry for its hard work on a comprehensive report and series of recommendations to support racing’s social licence in South Australia.

We are pleased the Report is focused on ensuring racing has a sustainable future in the state. We are also pleased the Report acknowledges that participants in the industry are generally decent, hardworking and honest people who take good care of their greyhounds.

The GA Board and its Members are united in their support and assistance, as GRSA and stakeholders continue to prioritise animal welfare, transparency, and accountability across the industry.

GA looks forward to assisting the incoming Greyhound Inspector and the local industry build on racing’s social licence by sharing key learnings and best practices from our other states to enhance integrity and transparency in regulation, welfare standards and governance.
