Before breeding with a greyhound can occur, DNA testing is required to verify the parentage of the greyhound.

This DNA testing confirms the pedigree of the greyhound is as published in the GA studbook and in turn confirms the integrity of the studbook.

Stud sires are required to be registered and approved by the Controlling Body.

Participants can apply for a sire registration by completing the stud sire application form. Greyhounds must be DNA tested and have a semen evaluation completed before any application will be considered.
